EDUC 573 Week 7 Infographic Project

  1. Deb - Really neat project. However, I do feel old now because except for the reading accelerator - I have used everything on the graphic to teach with! In fact in college I had to learn not only how to create masters and copies on the mimeograph, but one day of the semester we were each assigned to clean the machine and it is a messy assignment! However, today I used my iPad and AppleTV in class and my students are turning in assignments electronically and I can grade and return with no paper being used. We have come a long way. Thanks for the walk through time!

  2. It was nice to see all the different technology that was around back then and then to see how much technology has really changed inside the classroom and also out of the classroom! I grew up where teachers didn't know how to actually use computers and they would put us in the lab and make us okay Oregon Trail for a good 30 minutes and then on other days just make us type out useless papers. I'm glad technology has changed and excited it is being utilized more in the classroom! Thanks for sharing your infographic!

  3. Deb-
Your infographic was very informative. It was also very easy to read.
I love that you included the mimeograph as a technology tool. That is something I remember from when I was in elementary school. It is great to see how things have changed and I'm sure students would love to see the changes as well. Great job!
